About Me
Ilmur & Sjór (Fragrance & Sea) was founded in Reykjavík in the winter of 2023 by composer, former commercial fisherman, and perfumer Nicholas Brittain Shaber.
An obsession with natural fragrance blossomed into creation during a period of intense inspiration drawn from Iceland’s living landscape. Over the following months, the first four fragrances took shape, forming the beginning of Ilmur & Sjór and the foundation of its growing collection.
What you will find within each fragrance is fiercely Icelandic—in scent, material, and aesthetic, as well as in the natural Icelandic ingredients themselves.
